I am asking for any creative and inexpensive ideas for remodeling our basement bathroom. Its a small 8′x9′ full bath that I want to make feel like the infamous Playboy mansion grotto, without all the craziness. Please help! Thanks!!!

Is this a $3000 personal loss I can carryover year to year? He basically took our money for very very poor work we had to re-do all over.

We need to get our home remodeled, what we need most of all is new floors. Me and my mom want to take down panelling, which makes our living room look like a home from 1972, have workers put in a drywall, and all laminate wooden floors, which is cheaper than real wood floors. The problem is we don’t have thousands and thousands of dollars to do this and our credit isn’t that good is there any home repair contractors that will work with folks like us?

*Sugar Bug* asked:

Bought a new house, the theme should be home repair, or home remodeling to give guests ideas for gifts. What’s a cute name for that theme? What else would be good with this theme for rest of the party?

Sue asked:

I’m assuming no one will need to open the wall for dozens and dozens of years, so what would be interesting to people 100 years from now?
I thought of it because we have found some neat things in the family farmhouse while gutting it. Newspapers were the padding under the linoleum, and our great uncle was the newspaper publisher. The kids wrote their names in pencil along one of the studs and added, “This room was built 1929.”
